"Electric-Remastered" is the definitive edition of The Cult's groundbreaking 1987 album, now available in a meticulously remastered CD format. This release captures the raw energy and swagger that propelled The Cult to international stardom, featuring iconic tracks like "Love Removal Machine," "Lil' Devil," and "Wild Flower." With its fusion of hard rock riffs and post-punk attitude, "Electric" marked a pivotal shift for the band from their earlier gothic sound to a more aggressive, blues-infused style. Formed in England in 1983 by Ian Astbury and Billy Duffy, The Cult quickly rose through the ranks with albums such as "Love" and hits like "She Sells Sanctuary." Their influence on alternative rock remains significant today. Beggars Banquet/Beggars Group is renowned for championing innovative artists across genres since the late 1970s, supporting acts like Bauhaus, Gary Numan, Adele (via XL Recordings), and many others?making them one of independent music?s most respected labels.
The remastering job here is superb! Nice fat sound, great volume and no added compression or digital artifacts.
