Description:Film Music by Toke Lund Christiansen, released 7 June 2005. This version of Film Music comes as a 1xCD. - SLOVAK RADIO S.O./ADRIANO
Orson Welles chose Jacques Ibert to write the music for his Shakespearean tragedy in 1948, and what a score Ibert composed! Triumphant marches, eerie piano and harp solos, even a breathing choir (almost inaudible on the historical soundtrack, but present here). This disc also contains music from Ibert's Golgotha (1935) and Don Quichotte (1933).
Recorded at the Concert Hall of the Slovak Radio in Bratislava, 5?6 July 1989 (Golgotha), 15 January 1990 (Don Quichotte) and 17?18 January 1990 (Macbeth).
