Tracks 1 through 12 originally released as the very limited album [url=http://www.discogs.com/Broken-Girl-Broken-Girl/release/762741]Broken Girl[/url] on Julie Doiron's Sappy Records (with the help of Sub Pop) as SAP009. These tracks were recorded in April, 1995. Tracks 13 through 16 originally comprised the seven-inch single called [url=http://www.discogs.com/Broken-Girl-Dog-Love-Part-II/release/762727]Dog Love Part II[/url], which was released on Sappy Records as SAP002. These tracks were recorded between June and September, 1993. "Broken Girl" is the debut solo album by Canadian singer-songwriter Julie Doiron, released in 1996. This CD showcases Doiron's intimate songwriting and raw emotional delivery, blending elements of indie rock and folk with a minimalist approach.
