Alexander Ivanovich S. - 01/Apr/2021 This is the first album with the modern hard rock sound and without melody wizard - Ken Hensley. Nevertheless, the album deserves to be called one of the best in the career of the late Heeps.
| | Yuriy P. - 30/Jul/2019 I will put this album on personal conviction 10. To be honest, a new job, a new sound, a complete departure from the previous style of the group and an adjacency to the gaining momentum of the mainstream hard-n-heavy. "Heepy", 82, is a rather ambiguous band, "glued together" from former musicians, Pepe Golby's "trapeznik", the metal keyboard player of Sinclair, who returned to Lee Kerslake, who in turn dragged Bob Daisley after not the most successful period speeches with ozzy.
If you are a fan of live American hard-n-heavy, then this album will delight you with an excellent tempo of compositions and sustained guitar parts, which, by the way, do not sound as quiet as in the previous 13 albums. I do not know why, but at one time I was pushed to purchase this album, its cover ... Of course, there was a slight embarrassment, I did not expect what I would hear. Although from the very beginning I liked absolutely all the tracks. Approximate stylistics: something resembling an accelerated Whitesnake, only with sharper and rougher vocals and the absence of bygone beautiful keyboard parts - now the "hips" do not have an organ, but a synthesizer, with a rather permanent sound throughout the album.
As a result, the album, which has no hits, was very informative. The best hip work after Hensley left, and probably the only one, since the following creations, in my opinion, copied this a little.
I agree that Heepy is associated with Hensley, the main creator of all hits, Byron, one of the best vocalists of hard rock, and Gary Thein, a remarkable bass player with an inimitable manner of playing and a lot of hearing-friendly improvisations. But this album has its place in rock music. “Hipy” just showed that they could have something else, of course - it was all thanks to Mick Box and Lee Kerslake
| | Vitali T. - 27/May/2015 Not the best time of the band, but this album, despite its design, I like it. Very high quality recorded.
