This version of Planet P comes as a 1xCD. - After playing keyboards for Rainbow and notching some solo hits, Tony Carey joined German producer Peter Hauke to form Planet P Project. This was prog rock for the synth age; their 1983 debut nearly went Top 40 thanks to the hit "Why Me," which is here along with "King for a Day," "I Won't Wake Up," "Static" and the rest of the original release! Renaissance.Tracks 1 to 5 & 7 to 11 originally released on LP in 1983 as [r=10848289].
Tracks 6 & 12 originally released on CD in 1993 as [r=4069548].
Tracks 13 & 14 originally released on 12" in 1983 as [r=564425].
Tracks 15 & 16 are previously unreleased.
This cover reproduces the first pressing which identifies the artist and title simply as "Planet P". Latter pressings were changed to "Planet P Project" because of a copyright infringement lawsuit from the group [a3860]. "Planet P Project" appears on both spines and the disc face.
