Some famous poets in history such as Bai Ju-Yi and Su Dong-Puo... etc. All wrote pretty poems to compliment this glamorous city. The picturesque scenery of mountains and water in Shihu, which is loved by almost everyone in China, without saying, is so splendid. Even Marco Polo was fascinated with it. After the release of Beijing, HiNote Records once again combines traditional cultural atmosphere and contemporary fashionable music to create Hangzhou. China. It weaves the cultural presence in modern Hangzhou. The slow beat chill-out music with the temperaments of Oriental instruments responds to the famous ten landscapes in Shihu and draws the outlines of the music scene that brings the feelings of being in the place personally. The collection includes the works with many string arrangements by Ricky Kej, Golden Ring which is filled with Oriental singing and written by Sam Popat and Alexandre Scheffer, Breeze by Ratnabali, the gorgeous electronic tunes by chill-out masters Afterlife and Thievery Corporation, and the music full of the sounds of Oriental instruments by Alms for Shanti and Quantic. These works add poetic expressions to this collection.
