2009 two CD release. Morton Gould was a child prodigy, playing the piano at the age of four and went on to have a successful career as a multi-talented musician, conductor and composer. Like many of the composers of Morton's time, he was in command of a fantastic orchestra, but what set him apart was his ability to place modern standards into a symphonic context.
