Wintersun is a project of the former "principal" at Ensiferum, namely Jari Maenpaa. At first it was thought of simply as a project, and then in connection with the circumstances turned into a group. With which I congratulate Jari. Wintersun is an extremely energetic and progressive Finnish melodic death metal with power elements and black blast beats. What many fans of the group agree on is that this project has incorporated echoes of almost all heavy styles, be it heavy metal, folk, black, death, etc. This is such a phenomenon. The album is extremely interesting for its instrumental part: fast parts of a virtuoso guitar, lightweight percussion fluttering after them, beautiful background linings. Speaking of keys - they are truly magnificent and voluminous here, their power is felt very well. The vocals are not presented in the singular, and this is very good, since in this way Yari very well tinted the rest of the musical canvas. At the same time, he managed perfectly without female vocals and attracting guests. In addition to the wonderful instrumental parts, the album has a ton of beautiful melodies and melodic moves. When listening to the head, it is the winter sun that arises - bright, sharp, but fresh and beautiful, such that I want to revel in its grandeur and light, so I recommend listening, and I’ll go again to turn the CD.
