"For The Whole World To See" est l?album révolutionnaire du groupe Death au format CD édité par Drag City / Indigo. Enregistré à l?origine en 1975 mais resté longtemps inédit au grand public, ce disque s?impose comme un joyau oublié de la proto-punk américaine avec son énergie brute et ses textes engagés socialement qui anticipaient le mouvement punk des années suivantes aux États-Unis et en Europe. Fondé à Detroit par les frères David, Bobby et Dannis Hackney, le groupe a composé des morceaux novateurs tant sur le plan musical que thématique ; leur redécouverte récente leur vaut une reconnaissance critique internationale et fait de cet album une référence incontournable pour tout amateur d?histoire du rock alternatif ou indépendant.
