 | Description: | The Jelly Beans (thatâ??s them on the cover) contribute â??How Fine Can One Guy Beâ??, one of the eight previously unissued numbers on Volume 7. Gems by the Fashionettes, Joani Camp, Beverly Williams, the Jaynetts, Brenda Holloway, Claudine Clark and the Satisfactions also debut here. The Teardrops kick off proceedings with the majestic â??Tears Come Tumblingâ??, while Baby Jane & the Rockabyes close the show with an outlandish version of the Broadway chestnut â??Get Me To The Church On Timeâ??. Along the way, the Shirelles deliver a cover of the Playmatesâ?? 1958 hit â??What Is Loveâ??, the Jewels weigh in with a remake of their earlier B-side â??Smokie Joeâ??sâ??, this time with James Brown at the helm, and Marry (sic) Clayton and Barbara Mason step up to the mike for the first time, launching successful careers that continue to this day. - 2009 release, the long-awaited seventh installment in this Girl Group series and the first in five years. The 26 tracks here span the years 1962-1967, with 18 of them new to CD with eight of the selections are previously unissued in any form.
