Original Folk Blues is an album by John Lee Hooker, released in 1994. The album is a blues CD. -

The Hook's seminal 1964 LP of his 1948-54 Modern sides (Boogie Chillen'; Crawlin' King Snake; Queen Bee; Sally Mae, and more) is the centerpiece here. But the bonuses are the icing on this cake: previously unissued recordings of Cold Chills; Let Your Daddy Ride, and more mid-'50s collectibles!

Tracks 1 to 9, 11, 12 originally released as "Original Folk Blues" on Kent. Track 10 is a previously unreleased version. Tracks 7, 9 and 18 credit an unknown bassist. Booklet includes original sleeve note from Kent LP 525/5025.
