Description:Seven Last Words From The by J. Macmillan, released 18 May 2009. This version of Seven Last Words From The comes as a 1xCD. - ROSS, GRAHAM/DMITRI ENSEMBLE
In recent years it has been an enormous thrill hearing my music being performed by the Dmitri Ensemble. This excellent, young ensemble brings a breath of fresh air to music making in this country, and are fortunate to have in their director Graham Ross.
This recording was generously supported by a BBC Performing Arts Bursary, The Hinrichsen Foundation and the PRS Foundation. Recorded at All Hallows, Gospel Oak, London, from 27th to 29th March, 2008 Cover painting: The Crucifixion (1946) by Graham Sutherland (1903-80) (St. Matthew's Church, Northampton, UK / The Bridgeman Art Library)
