Magic Swing by Gunhild Carling Big Band, released 22 February 2008, includes the following tracks: "Memories", "Hindustan", "Diggeridoo", "Some Day" and more. This version of Magic Swing comes as a 1xCD. -

Gunhild Carling is releasing her first Big Band record with inspiration from the 1920's and 1930's jazz. With a strong jazz feeling and with strong arrangement Magic Swing shows the bands love for the elder jazz and the capacity to make it sound like it once did. Magic Swing was recorded at the Berwaldhallen in Stockholm in 2006. At this nostalgic night was Jesper Thilo around and played on Over the Rainbow. On the fourteen tracks you can feel the spirit of the masters such as Ellington, Tommy Doresy, Perdido and Billie Holiday.
