Bloody Blasphemy is God Dethroned's follo-up to their 1998 debut the Grand Gimoire. With the underground buzz happening and their following in the US growing, this is sure to be one of "must-haves" for any death metal fan.
Recorded on unholy ground during the fall and winter of 1998.
"Bloody Blasphemy" is a landmark album by the Dutch death metal band God Dethroned, released in 1999 and now available on CD through Sony Music/Metal Blade. This record showcases the band's signature blend of melodic blackened death metal, featuring aggressive riffs, relentless drumming, and darkly atmospheric melodies. The lyrics delve into themes of anti-religion and historical blasphemy, making it a provocative listen for fans of extreme music. God Dethroned has been an influential force in the European metal scene since their formation in 1991, earning acclaim with albums like "The Grand Grimoire" and "Ravenous." Their consistent evolution and powerful live performances have cemented their reputation as one of Holland's premier extreme metal acts. Sony Music/Metal Blade is renowned for supporting groundbreaking artists across genres; Metal Blade especially has played a pivotal role in shaping heavy music worldwide.
“Bloody Blasphemy” will always be the band’s greatest work. But I believe that no matter how much the line-up changes, God Dethroned will always be awesome, so long as Henri Sattler is still breathing.

3rd album. More dark and evil! Hymns of blasphemy! This band still on elite level of extreme music.

Maybe they haven't ever done anything new... but they're powerful almost in every album.
