Santanaâ??s tenth studio album Marathon marked the beginning of the group's commercial slide. The single â??You Know That I Love Youâ? reached no.35 on the Billboard Hot 100. It consisting entirely of band-written music. The music direction got many influences from the melodic rock, which gained more popularity by the end of the â??70s. With some incredible guitar solos by the master Carlos Santana himself and Alex Ligertwoodâ??s fine vocals itâ??s another versatile piece from the band. The Marathon package includes an insert. Santana gained public attention by appearing at the Woodstock festival in 1969. The Latin influence has always been an important part in their music, although the band also created some blues rock and pop classics. Even after all those years Santana is still actively performing. -

Igor V. - 07/Jun/2017 The tenth studio album of the band. In my opinion this album was Santana's last interesting album. Although mostly there are songs in the style of arena rock, nevertheless, there is still a tendency for musical experiments. Like the previous album, Inner Secrets, I have enjoyed listening to this album for more than thirty years.
