Description:	Clara, Claude und Pierre sind entsetzt: Das Erbe ihrer Mutter wird erst ausbezahlt, wenn sich alle drei zusammen als Pilger auf den Weg nach Santiago de Compostela machen. Schlimmeres können sich die drei kaum vorstellen, denn erstens können sie sich gegenseitig nicht riechen und zweitens geht ihnen wandern grundsätzlich gegen den Strich. Doch das Geld können alle gut gebrauchen und so schliessen sie sich laut protestierend einer illustren Reisegruppe an. Dort müssen sie feststellen, dass sie beileibe nicht die einzigen widerwilligen Teilnehmer sind. Reiseleiter Guys Fernbeziehung steht kurz vor dem Kollaps, der junge Araber Saïd ist bloss der Liebe wegen hier und sein unbedarfter Cousin im Schlepptau wähnt sich auf dem Weg nach Mekka. Von Gruppendynamik keine Spur und alle haben sie viel zu viel Gepäck. Aber kalte Duschen und Blasen an den Füssen fördern das Gruppengefühl. Der Weg nach Santiago de Compostela ist lang und die Reise dahin voller Überraschungen, Einsichten und harten Betten.
