Description:Black Rain by Ozzy Osbourne, released 2 June 2008, includes the following tracks: "Black Rain", "The Almighty Dollar", "Civilize The Universe", "Countdown's Begun" and more. This version of Black Rain comes as a 1xCD. - FT. ZAKK WYLDE
Limited Edition UK pressing of Ozzy's 2007 album comes housed in bootleg-style cardboard packaging. Black Rain is Osbourne's first new studio material in six years. Ozzy co-produced the album with Kevin Churko and recorded it with his touring band: Zakk Wylde (guitar), Mike Bordin (drums) and Blasko (bass). Ozzy feels this album is the true follow-up to his classic No More Tears, the 1991 album that also challenged the expectations of what an Ozzy album should sound like. Some of the songs on Black Rain are ominous in their emotional tone-they examine a world teeming with greed, war, deception, bad drugs ("11 Silver," about crystal meth) and environmental havoc. The Ozzman also zooms in on the overriding sense of fear and dread that define our times-perpetrated, he feels, by news programs that make "entertainment" out of terrible news events. Columbia.

BLACK RAIN is one of my favorite Ozzy albums, loaded from start to finish with great songs. Don't foget great drummer on this album: Mike Bordin from FAITH NO MORE - Highly recommend

Old Osborn’s new album will first of all please those who haven’t heard of Ozzy before. True fans are unlikely to like it. The sound is more like not Ozzy, but the old band Wyld'a Black Label Society. In addition, there is in general the extra concern of Mr. Osborne with the fate of the world. I don’t know, but in my opinion he slightly deceived the hopes of those who had been waiting for the album for 6 years ("Under Cover" doesn’t count). But Ozzy is never bad and, in spite of everything, the album is one of the best musical creations of 2007. By the way, it’s curious that Blasco himself was on the bass here - bassist Rob Zombie.
