Das Projekt war die Idee von Komponist, Musiker und Manager ERIC WOOLFSON und dem gefeierten Produzenten und Tontechniker ALAN PARSONS.
Die Album Sessions fanden unter Mitwirkung von Musikern wie Ian Bairnson (Gitarren), David Paton (Bass) und Stuart Elliott (Drums) statt, mit Eric Woolfson an den Keyboards und Leadvocals bei vier der 90 Songs. Colin Blunstone, Chris Rainbow und Lenny Zakatek trugen Leadvocals auf den verbliebenen Songs bei.
â??Ammonia Avenueâ? wurde zu einem der Bestseller von THE ALAN PARSONS PROJECT, erreichte Goldstatus in vielen europäischen Ländern und in den USA. - 2008 digitally re-mastered edition of the Alan Parsons classic album that was originally released in 1984. Parsons himself digital re-mastered all his catalog albums reissued in 2007 using the original master tapes. The difference in sound quality is amazing-each sounds absolutely fantastic! The packaging includes revamped booklets with fresh, elaborated liner notes based on interviews with Parsons and Woolfson as well as rare photos and memorabilia.Originally release 1984.
