The album captures the band's energetic spirit with infectious melodies and powerful guitar work from Carlos Santana himself. As one of the most influential bands in music history, Santana has won multiple Grammy Awards?including Album of the Year for their blockbuster release "Supernatural"?and sold over 100 million records worldwide. Their groundbreaking performance at Woodstock cemented their reputation as pioneers blending diverse musical traditions. The manufacturer Col (Columbia Records) is renowned for its long-standing legacy in producing high-quality recordings from world-class artists across genres.
If the previous Santana album Zebop! was simply uninteresting, then this album is boring. It contains song material, oriented to the rock mainstream. No experiments. Although it must be admitted, the performance is at a high level. After the release of Shango, Santana ceases to record albums for long three years.
