Description:Here is the digitally remastered and expanded edition of the eccentric British Punk popstar's 1982 debut solo album featuring six bonus tracks including one previously unreleased track from the Captain's own archives. Captain Sensible was a founding member of legendary Punk band the Damned. Whilst still a member of the Damned, he signed a solo deal with A&M Records. In June 1982, he reached #1 in the UK with a cover of Roger's and Hammerstein's 'Happy Talk' from the musical South Pacific (included here). The album also includes the follow up hit singles 'Wot' and 'Croydon'. Cherry Red. 2009.
Twelve page booklet includes 2009 interview. Jewel case with a clear tray. Recorded at Old Barn Studios spring 1982. Mixed at Eel Pie Studios, T.M.C. Studios & Ridge Farm Studios. I Can't Stand It (Demo) & Strawberry Dross recorded in Captain's Bedroom on a TEAC Portastudio. Joe Meek: unfinished 80's track, completed by Captain for this re-issue. Debut solo album from the co-founder of punk rock band The Damned. Not punk but very interesting new wave full of irony and sarcasm. A very high quality re-mastered edition by Cherry Red, six bonuses. Highly recommended!
