Description:

2008 album from The French Impressionists, the modernist ensemble associated with Postcard Records and Les Disques du Crepuscule. The French Impressionists first emerged in 1981 via the Postcard Records school, when founder/pianist Malcolm Fisher made his first recordings with members of Aztec Camera and the Jazzateers. For this album, Malcolm Fisher has joined forces with gifted Italian singer Sara Cicenia, setting the poems of Amelia Rosselli to original piano music. The deluxe booklet features a selection of original images by Malcolm Fisher, and the text of several of the poems. LTM.
