Newly Remastered 1975 Album
Description:
Digitally remastered edition of the British Rock band's 1975 album. Armageddon was one of THE great unsung bands of the mid-'70s. Formed in 1974 out of the ashes of the UK band Steamhammer, the group featured the vocal talents of former Yardbirds front man Keith Relf, alongside guitarist Martin Pugh, bassist Louis Cennmo and drummer Bobby Caldwell. Originally released by A&M Records in 1975, Armageddon's sole album featured some amazing music ranging from the Led Zeppelin-esque 'Paths And Planes And Future Gains' to the Progressive Rock of 'Silver Tightrope' and 'Basking in the White of the Midnight Sun'. The much overused term 'lost classic' is, in the case of this record, most apt. This reissue has been remastered from the original tapes and restores the original album artwork and will appeal to lovers of Progressive and Classic Rock. Esoteric. 2009.
The CD "Armageddon" by the band Armageddon, released by Esoteric Recordings, is a reissue of the legendary 1975 debut album from this British-American hard rock supergroup. Featuring former members of The Yardbirds (Keith Relf), Renaissance (Louis Cennamo), Steamhammer (Martin Pugh), and Captain Beyond (Bobby Caldwell), Armageddon delivered an explosive blend of progressive rock, blues, and heavy metal influences. This self-titled album is renowned for its powerful musicianship and dynamic songwriting, including standout tracks like "Buzzard," "Silver Tightrope," and "Paths & Planes & Future Gains." Though short-lived due to Keith Relf's untimely passing, Armageddon has achieved cult status among classic rock fans worldwide. Esoteric Recordings is known for their high-quality remasters and deluxe editions of classic progressive and psychedelic albums, ensuring that music lovers can experience these iconic works with enhanced sound quality and insightful liner notes.
Another hidden gem of the one album band! The music is strong and energetic! The remastered sound is outstanding.
