Recorded at Vancouver Studios, Vancouver, B.C., Canada, Spring 1990, except track 6 recorded at Triad Studios, Redmond, WA. Mixed at Royal Recorders Studios, Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. All tracks 24-bit digitally remastered at Capitol Mastering. Main album remastered April 2002. Bonus tracks remastered November/December 2002. After the brilliant Operation: Mindcrime, Queensryche released perhaps their most mainstream album. Empire is even today the most successful Queensryche album.

4th album of queensryche. Empire is also masterpiece of progressive metal. silent lucidity best I can , empire is my favorite.

Without a twinge of conscience, I will call this album the best in the Queensryche discography! If by musical thought this album is on a par with a great predecessor, then in terms of the quality of the recording it is significantly superior to it. Tatev's vocals are great here, as always, great, the guitar parts are honed to the millimeter, the drums are super technical and slaughtered. The album is full of hits, each of the songs is able to surprise. In my opinion, on this disc, the group laid out on the full, thanks to the talent took a leading position. This is a mega album worthy of being in the collection of all lovers of high-quality progressive!
