| | Description: | Limited edition digitally remastered and expanded deluxe three CD edition of this classic live album featuring the officially released version of the show on Disc One plus the entire concert at Lewisham Odeon from December 1980 on Disc Two and Disc Three. Recorded in 1980 and featuring Ginger Baker, the album was a classic work and spawned an equally legendary tour. Although Baker's tenure with Hawkwind was brief, this concert at Lewisham Odeon in December 1980 was recorded by a mobile unit. Now remixed from the original multi-track masters this deluxe edition includes the entire concert (during which Sci Fi author Michael Moorcock guested). Atomhenge. 2009.Limited to 3000 copies. Special edition includes two bonus CDs, 36-page booklet and 3 postcards. Tracks 1-10 to 1-17 are bonus tracks. Comes in a cardboard clamshell box. CDs are in individual printed cardboard sleeves.
Levitation was originally released as Bronze Records BRON 530 in November 1980.
There are some errors in the writing credits on this release. Tracks 2-3 and 3-4 are written by [a214188] and [a324669], track 3-5 is written by [a471199], but the notes state (incorrectly) that all tracks are written by Dave Brock."Levitation - 3CD Expanded Edition" is a comprehensive reissue of Hawkwind's influential 1980 album, now presented in an expanded format by Cherry Red Records.
