This edition is part of the Deluxe edition without disc 2. The CD is signed "CD1 - The Original Album", the same as on the Deluxe edition, but this clarification is unnecessary here, because there is only one disc. The manufacturer is too lazy to release CDs for a single-disc edition.

On this album, "Faith" meets "The Lovecats", forming a kind of symbiosis of dark (or just not very funny) compositions like "Kyoto Song", "A Night Like This", "Sinking" - which is the prototype for the future masterpiece "Disintegration", and fun, light, carefree, variety of pop songs. These include two singles from the album: "In Between Days" and "Close to Me", as well as the magnificent "The Blood", in which Spanish flamenco meets Smith's shrill verses. Keeping up with the fun is "Screw", which is similar to a jam session in which bassist Simon Gallup was the highlight of the evening. "Six Different Ways" - what can you say about this song? Besides the fact that she is one of the most beloved on the album ... Oh, yes, you could well have heard her in the film "The Rules of Attraction" by Roger Avery (in Russia the distributors translated the title of the film as "Rules of Sex"). But in spite of everything, the best compositions on the album (and some of the best in all the work of the British) are the phenomenal "Push" and the "A Night Like This" I mentioned just above. These songs make me play this album over and over again in the player, which, despite its seeming simplicity and accessibility, is still surprisingly able to revive and give strength precisely with its mood, full of unexpected turns and changes of scenery. In general, it is not so simple as it seems at first glance.

One of the group’s four best albums. The publication is very good. The sound has not changed, but a very rich and beautiful design! Quite an interesting second disc. I happily replaced the single-disc edition with this charm. Whatever they say, but The Cure and, in particular Smith, are clever cookies!
