Perfect Strangers is the eleventh studio album by English rock band Deep Purple. 11 years on, the classic Mark II line-up reunited for this 1984 album, which made the Top 10 on both sides of the Atlantic and spawned an enormously successful tour.

The eleventh studio album by English rock band Deep Purple, released on 29 October 1984. The album was a commercial success, reaching #5 in the UK charts and #17 on the Billboard 200 in the US. I recommend.

Actually an example of first-class classic hard rock. The album is surprisingly easy to listen to, but at the same time it strikes the seriousness of the music and the professionalism of the musicians. The sound is great, the arrangements are beautiful. Blackmore's various solos deserve special mention, which sound “dirty” and a little unprocessed, but that’s all the charm of hard rock. Gillan's voice is still youthful, expressive and very soulful. No specific track can be singled out here, they are all just “embroidered in gold”. “Perfect Strangers” is an album that I would record in the classics of not only “dark purple” music, but also of hard rock in general. This is the music of people with vast experience in the musical field, with excellent mutual understanding and interaction, with the ability to spiritualize their work. All that you hear on this album is a hard rock encyclopedia. It is foolish to recommend; you need to hear this in order to develop your musical taste in the right direction, regardless of age, gender, and generally musical addiction; and to have this disc in your music collection is necessary for every bit of an intellectual person ...

Not as spetacular as the classic MK2 era, but a worthy entrance in their discography and a nice comeback.

The album that returned Deep Purple to the scene - praised, contested - today when we look: a great album both for the old and the time in front of us.

El álbum que marcó el regreso del mítico Mark II de Deep Purple en 1984 con uun sonido más cercano al Heavy Metal. Esencial para toda colección de rock.
