Digitally re-mastered and expanded edition of the 1995 album by the British band, their second release after the departure of co-founder Curt Smith. Tears for Fears' fifth studio album, Raoul And the Kings of Spain, now comes expanded with seven bonus recordings including 'All of the Angels', 'The Madness of Roland', 'Queen of Compromise', 'Until I Drown', 'War of Attrition' and acoustic versions of 'Raoul And the Kings of Spain' and 'Break It Down Again'. The album features a return by Oleta Adams, who duets with Roland Orzabal on the track 'Me and My Big Ideas'. Includes a picture booklet containing sleeve notes by Malcolm Dome, a new interview with Roland Orzabal and a track by track run-down. Cherry Pop. 2009.
Although Orzabal was the sole member of Tears For Fears he delivered an album full of great pop atmospheric melancholy songs! Great bonus tracks too!

In den liner notes zu dieser Reissue erfährt man, warum dieses Album seinerzeit nicht nur kein großer Verkaufserfolg- , sondern beinahe ein Flop war - auch für diese Informationen schätzt man als Musikliebhaber nach wie vor das physikalische Format. Aus meiner Sicht hätten die Songtexte im Booklet 5-Sterne gebracht.
Die vorliegende Musik ist jedoch über alle Zweifel erhaben: detailreich, raffiniert und relevant (sogar nach knapp 25 Jahren!). Als das Album veröffentlicht wurde, war TFF einfach nur das Vehikel zu Roland Orzábals Musik. Heute ist das Duo längst wiedervereint, aber das Material von "Raoul ..." findet im Live-Repertoire leider keine Erwähnung. Noch ein Grund dafür, sich diese CD zuzulegen!

Otra joya de TFF, ésta vez sin Curt Smith, para ser sincero con el respeto que le tengo, en éste álbum no se extraña su ausencia. Un álbum muy íntegro de comienzo a fin, muy buen compositor y músico Roland Orzabal.
