A very passionate record full of dark and sexual songs. It is an intense record that grabs you sometimes by the throat but it is definitely brilliant all the way through and definitely one of her best

This is PJ HARVEYs most accessible, pop-minded album to date, but she still retains those bursts of gooey, expletive-inducing sound that've become her trademark of sorts. The thing about her writing style on this record is every single song has a point of accessibility--a plucky groove, a hooky melody, a face-melting clusterbomb of a solo--it's easy to find something to your taste in every track. 5 STARS
