Amon Amarth is fully armed and very dangerous! A great album filled with military hits and hymns of northern culture. One of their best work ever!

Good Melodeath album. I think this is the best album of Amon Amarth. Also, Twilight of the thunder god is the one of the best track I've ever heard.

A damn great album. Of course usual Amon amarth style, not bad if fulfilled by generous and strong inspiration which 3 songs alone can show you deeply: Guardians of Asgaard, Varyags of Miklagaard and Bloody Banners and tattered flags; but to be honest, no real fillers you can find here. Until the solem Embrace of Endless Ocean, the quality of the songs is high and the impact on your ears 100% guaranteed!

The Swedish band Amon Amarth with every new release tightens the loop on its neck all the tighter and tighter - coming to an unattainable level for most competitors on the ideal of the alloy of a crushing viking and melodic death, they begin to repeat themselves seriously, having every chance to become such a Motorhead from, in fact , and they also generated the style. There is nothing bad in this, not every team can boast of such a result, but from the first the demand always goes on the highest level. If you have never heard of Amon Amarth, then "Twilight of the Thunder God" will hit you in the heart - an amazing combination of the melodic death and what is commonly called viking metal, with expressive and charismatic vocals in ten epic acts. However, those who have known the creativity of Amon Amarth for a long time, "Twilight of the Thunder God" may seem ... no, not a step back, but rather a trampling on the spot, because all this was already on "Fate of Norns" and "With Oden on Our Side ». In the first case, the album deserves a high score, in the second - the average. Bringing the quality of music to the limit, Amon Amarth finally brought to mind and design - in this respect, "Twilight of the Thunder God" is the best in their discography, especially a good cover that perfectly describes the musical content. However, it's time to seriously think about how to slip out of the loop, maybe, really move toward the symphonic viking death, whose rudiments are in the "Live for the Kill", recorded together with the group Apocalyptica?

Amon Amarth come advertised as "viking metal," an interesting proposition in 2008. The Stockholm band, which takes its name from Tolkien, certainly ha...

You'd think Amon Amarth would have run out of ideas for songs after seven albums of Viking-inspired metal tunes. But don't underestimate the Swedish q...
