"Dead Again" is a powerful CD release by the legendary Danish heavy metal band Mercyful Fate, brought to you by Sony Music/Metal Blade. This album showcases the band's signature blend of dark themes, intricate guitar work, and King Diamond's unmistakable vocals. "Dead Again," originally released in 1998, marked a triumphant return for Mercyful Fate after their earlier successes with albums like "Melissa" and "Don't Break the Oath." The record features haunting melodies and complex compositions that have become hallmarks of their style. Mercyful Fate has been influential in shaping the sound of modern metal, inspiring countless bands worldwide.
Sony Music/Metal Blade are renowned names in the music industry. Sony Music stands as one of the world?s largest music companies with an extensive catalog across all genres. Metal Blade Records is celebrated for its dedication to heavy metal since 1982, supporting iconic acts such as Slayer and Cannibal Corpse alongside Mercyful Fate.
Mercyful Fate was formed in Copenhagen in 1981 by vocalist King Diamond and guitarist Hank Shermann. Their theatrical stage presence and occult lyrical themes quickly set them apart from other bands at the time. Over decades, they have achieved cult status within heavy metal circles thanks to groundbreaking releases and electrifying live performances.
Quite an unsuccessful and thoroughly through secondary album of "Mercyful Fate on a par with "9" (1999). It is played professionally and hard, but almost nothing original and memorable. And such things as "Sucking Your Blood" and "Dead Again", in general, as a nasty broom came here :-)
Of the more or less successful compositions, it is worth noting "The Night", as if by a miracle not placed on the track list of the previous album of 1996 for some mysterious reasons, the mid-tempo "Banshee" and the vigorous screaming and vigorous riffing "Crossroads".
In general, it's sad that this wonderful band, most likely, ended up on such minor notes as "Dead Again" and "9".

"Dead Again" zählt nicht zu den großen Klassikern von Mercyful Fate, ist aber aber ein gutklassiger Vertreter ihrer 90er Phase nach der Reunion
