"Honour Valour Pride" is a powerful CD release by the legendary British death metal band Bolt Thrower, brought to you by Sony Music/Metal Blade. This album stands as one of the band's most intense and dynamic works, featuring crushing riffs, thunderous drumming, and commanding vocals that epitomize the spirit of old-school death metal. Thematically centered around war and heroism, each track immerses listeners in Bolt Thrower's signature soundscape?relentless yet melodic. Sony Music/Metal Blade are renowned for their commitment to quality releases across genres; Metal Blade especially has been instrumental in shaping heavy music since 1982. BT formulated the idea of his work back in 1991, composing and recording the song Cenotaph. Since then, the minimum changes, which allows them to be attributed (not by style !!!) to the category of such controversial emotions of performers as MOTORHEAD, RUNNING WILD, CANNIBAL CORPSE, etc., i.e. "Finding their chip." It is characteristic that, despite my love for this group, only two albums are enough for my collection: The IV-th Crusade 1992 and Honor-Valor-Pride 2001. Nevertheless, blaming VT for self-plagiarism and monotony is like terrifying that war all the time of killing and blood. But BT is the music of war! It has been 3 years since the release of the previous Mercenary album. So for those who are familiar with the work of this team, we are in a hurry to please - 100% BT. And for those who were not lucky, let's try to tell you: a leisurely, heavyweight British death-metal of the highest standard. Clear, repeatable guitar riffs, smooth drums, great sound quality (album released on Metal Blade). Dave Ingram's growling (ex-BENEDICTION) does not sound as powerful as the previous vocalist Karl Willets, but, in my opinion, it is specially adapted to the new, more “mechanistic” concept of VT. Also, do not forget that the bass guitar is in the hands of a fragile girl named Joe Bench with an invariable medallion, which is part of the group’s logo. She may be less known than singing femins, but in a heavy formation for more than 10 years! We will not dwell on the technique of games and teamwork - the guys have been pouring metal together for 14 years. But still, emotions will convey the music of the album best of all: imagine the united system of British heavy battleships, the raid of the Gross Deutschland tank division and the artillery preparation of the Soviet artillery during the storming of Berlin. The ruthless and non-stop mechanism of the war, tossing and turning gigantic gears. Selecting hits from 9 tracks is the same as trying to isolate something from a column of 9 heavy tanks that crossed your trench. All the same, I draw attention to Contact Wait Out (capital) and 7th Offencive. Simple but tasteful effects were made: the morse code in Contact Wait Out and the tormenting buzzes in Pride (probably this is the last ship to be evacuated from Dunkirk). The theme of the lyrics I think is understandable. The disadvantages include the cover - some imbecile supermen. Reminds a box from under stupid American electronic war games of the beginning of the 80th years.

In the same vein as its precursors without meaning that it's bad.Super heavy guitars and endless brutal drumming, bolt thrower knows how death metal should be played.
