"Return in Bloodred" is the debut album by German power metal band Powerwolf, released on CD by Sony Music/Metal Blade. This powerful record introduces listeners to Powerwolf's unique blend of heavy riffs, dramatic organ melodies, and theatrical storytelling rooted in dark folklore and religious imagery. The album features standout tracks like "Mr. Sinister," "We Came to Take Your Souls," and "Kiss of the Cobra King," which have become fan favorites over time. Powerwolf has since risen to international fame with their energetic live shows and chart-topping albums such as "Blessed & Possessed" and "The Sacrament of Sin." Sony Music is one of the world's leading music companies, known for supporting a diverse range of artists across genres, while Metal Blade Records specializes in promoting top-tier metal acts globally.
The Germans Powerwolf perform thoroughbred heavy in the style of the eighties - no speed and transcendental power speeds, only the drive, pressure and power of heavy metal! I am one hundred percent sure that very few people will now appreciate this team, since the power firmly flooded the vastness of the music business, thus making heavy metal almost an extinct style. It was Powerwolf that attracted attention in 2005 - their debut album “Return In Bloodred” was recorded with Frederick Nordstrom, which resulted in excellent recording quality, to some extent even original. Singer Atilla Dorn, besides being the frontman of the group, also has excellent vocal abilities - his hysterical vocals are quite original and, like all musical material, inherit the traditions of the eighties. The lyrics are rather gloomy, mystical character - for this is another plus for the gang. The album opens with an average tempo assertive number “Mr. Sinister, followed by the incredibly catchy song We Came To Take Your Souls, which reminded me of the best horror stories from the legendary hard rockers Demon. The number one hit on the album is the song “Kiss Of The Cobra King”, which is the most dynamic number on the disc. The theme of “Black Mass Hysteria” is primarily attracted by its genuine borehole face and flawedness. And at the height of the center of all mystical forces there is the slow and creepy "Lucifer In Starlight." In conclusion, I will say that “Return In Bloodred” is not the best heavy metal album of the year, but quite a strong creation. With such a successful and penetrative material, I can calmly prophesy a bright future for this group ...
