Eugene S. - 24/Oct/2022 The third studio album by the British hard rock band Rainbow, released in 1978 and the last to feature original lead vocalist Ronnie James Dio. I recommend.
| | HYUNG RAE K. - 25/Nov/2019 I like this album and this Long Live Rock 'N' Roll, Gates Of Babylon, Kill The King, Rainbow Eyes is so nice songs.
| | Alexander S. - 11/Jul/2019 After a couple of completely epochal tours in 76 and 77 years, the Rainbow group was destined to enter the studio for the third time to record their third masterpiece. As time has shown, the new album, which received the very optimistic title "Long Live Rock 'N' Roll", was the last collaboration between Richie Blackmore and maestro Ronnie James Dio. However, some changes in the composition occurred even before the start of studio work. As a result of the next trick of the unpredictable Richie, fresh blood flowed into the band - bassist Bob Daisley and keyboard player David Stone. As you can guess, these personnel changes did not affect the overall mood and atmosphere of the disc - we still enjoy the classic British hard rock of the highest quality. The lyrics of Ronnie still admire with their extraordinary mystery, Mr. Blackmore’s guitar drills can be immediately quoted on audio textbooks, the play of other musicians does not cause any complaints. Also, there are no complaints about the organizational part - everything is recorded perfectly, without any overlaps. Well, the material itself will give odds to anyone! At least three compositions from the album have long been an indisputable classic. Basically, this is a cult for all power metal thriller "Kill The King", in which all the foundations and rules were laid, regularly followed by modern musicians until now. But you also can’t forget the absolutely stunning epic "Gates Of Babylon", which possesses hypnotic energetics with a considerable share of oriental flavor, only enhanced by Richie’s brilliant guitar work and Dio's breathtaking voice. And of course, the title track, "Long Live Rock 'N' Roll" is a super positive anthem to heavy rock movement for all time. In addition, I would also like to recall the magnificent mystical epic "Lady Of The Lake", the merry and carefree "Sensitive To Light", and the very pleasant and touching ballad "Rainbow Eyes". But in general, this disc very convincingly put a bold line under the first period of existence of the Rainbow, we will not hear such a beautiful and “honest” hard rock in the band’s work. So - catch the moment of truth!
| | Vagner C. - 24/Nov/2017 In spite of most Rainbow's fans do prefer Rising as the favourtie and obviously a great classic of all times, Long Live Rockn Roll is also another precious gem in the band's discography. Here, one of the most powerful Rainbow songs: Kill the King, pure heavy metal!!
| | Andraz Z. - 19/Jun/2014 The third Rainbow album. Remastered and it has a much better sound, almost everything from the original release's artwork. No bonus songs. It includes some of the classic Rainbow tunes written by Ritchie Blackmore.
Anspieltipps: Titelsong, Kill The King, Gates Of Babylon
