 | Description: | Digitally remastered and expanded edition of this 1980 album from the band fronted by former Deaf School guitarist and producer extraordinaire Clive Langer. The first-line up of the Boxes included Deaf School friends Bette Bright and Steve Allen (backing vocals), Budgie (drums) and Ben Barson (keyboards, brother of and main influence for Mike Barson, keyboard player with Madness). in 1980, after a support tour with Elvis Costello, Clive Langer and a new line-up for the Boxes - including Ben Barson on keyboards, James Eller on bass, Martin Hughes of drums, the brass section of the Rumour, plus Steve Allen and Bette Bright on backing vocals - released a couple of singles. This release includes the full Splash album plus the various non-album tracks released during the band's short existence. 17 tracks. Lemon. 2010.Subtitled: ? And Beyond
1st CD issue of 1980 debut album, with bonus tracks. Tracks 1-5 comprise 1979's 'I Want The Whole World' EP & 6-17 comprise the original LP. All tracks mastered from vinyl.
