Packing an old school Thrash punch, Ironbound, from start to finish, is 'their masterpiece' says Metal Hammer and 'the best Overkill disc of the new millennium' says Brave Words.

Excellent!!! Awesome, monstrous and crucial album from the most consistent thrash band! Fantastic job in any way!

The album is simply tearing from the inside from an overabundance of speed, sharpness and heaviness. Each track recognizes the unique style of Overkill performance, namely the precise work of the rhythm section, excellent sound balance and, of course, Bobby's original singing style, which resembles the “coughing” voice of old Dirkschneider telling his grandchildren scary tales.
It is unusual that the band's repertoire has once again appeared "six-minute" pieces. This is very risky for thrash metal, but Overkill mitigated the danger by diluting the frantic rhythms with peculiar lyrical indents, which made the music slightly prolonged. However, the album does not smell clearly of weak songs. Everything here shines with adrenaline and madness, and under the title “Ironbound” you generally want to forget about everything and come off until you lose your strength.
Also amusing is the guitar intro to the mid-tempo "The Goal is Your Soul", clearly removed from the toy "Rome: Total War", as well as the loss after the solos in the fierce "Endless War" that looks like the Maiden "The Trooper". “The Green and Black” beautifully and slightly solemnly sets the mood for the entire disc, and it’s hard to come up with a more successful ending for the album than “The SRC”.
"Ironbound" can easily be attributed to the list of the best Overkill works in the entire history of the band. Listening to these guys, you are glad that there is such a style of music as thrash metal on planet Earth
