Pablo D. - 27/Nov/2023 Rob Halford's voice on this album is excellent. I like all Judas Priest albums
| | Vladislav M. - 02/Jun/2020 One of the best Judas Priest albums. For my taste, it is heavier than the "electric" Turbo, but in many ways it falls short of the phenomenal Painkiller in all respects. A worthy release from the good old 80s.
| | Alexander S. - 25/Jun/2019 Not bad for a beginner group, rather poor for masters of heavy - this is what can be briefly said about this work by Pristov. The album is not a masterpiece like "Defenders of the Faith" and Screaming for Vengeance ", nevertheless there are wonderful things on it. It is worth noting a temporary change in the style of the group. There are shades of what is now called Heavy Power, but in my opinion the group is it didn’t do any good, the solo and the atmosphere of the songs somehow became more primitive, so perpetuating along with the best works of the group, in my opinion, only “Ram it down”, “I'm a Rocker” (to the painful standard, but a very emotional song with a meaningful load a la heavy duty), "Blood Red Skies" (a very strong composition for all the creative work as a whole). There are simply very good things: a somewhat secondary "Heavy Metal" and a contrasting mood "Hard As Iron." The rest of the material somehow does not remain in the memories, although it does not irritate.
| | Ivica S. - 25/Nov/2018 Very HARD, Very HEAVY, very very very good album - I recommend
| | Eduardo F. - 25/Oct/2017 Judas Priest sounds a bit lazy on that one, but still some fine tunes.
| | JANET O'NEILL - 30/Mar/2012 I'll never understand why this album got uncomplimentary reviews - I liked it from the start. I used to have it on audio cassette but have recently bought the cd version, remastered and with 2 bonus tracks. The title track is a typical hard-rocking inspirational anthem, followed by several of the same. "I'm a Rocker" should be Rob Halford's signature tune. Even the much-maligned version of the old "Johnny B. Goode" is perfectly acceptable. I love the bonus track "Night Comes Down" because of its passionate sadness that his lover isn't there with him in the night. Rob has such a fantastic range of emotions with his powerful multi-octave vocals and this track is a showcase for his talent. I recommend the cd for all Judas Priest fans.
