"The Number Of The Beast" is a legendary album by the iconic British heavy metal band Iron Maiden, released in 1982 and now available on CD from Parlophone Label Group (PLG). This groundbreaking record marked a turning point for the band with the debut of vocalist Bruce Dickinson, propelling Iron Maiden to international stardom. Featuring classic tracks like "Run to the Hills," "Hallowed Be Thy Name," and the title track "The Number Of The Beast," this album is celebrated for its powerful riffs, complex compositions, and dark lyrical themes. Iron Maiden has sold over 100 million records worldwide and are considered pioneers of heavy metal music. Parlophone Label Group (PLG) is renowned for producing high-quality releases across various genres, supporting both legendary acts and emerging artists.
The most famous and popular work of the people is Iron Maiden. Most commercially successful album in Iron Maiden history. Finally, my favorite and most respected album, Iron Maiden. With all these titles I am pleased to award the third studio album of the group "The Number Of The Beast". The epochiness and grandeur of this work for all modern heavy metal is so great that there are not even enough words to describe it in detail. But you have to try! So, the two main differences between this work and its predecessor in the person of "Killers" are a new vocalist and new songs. After a long world tour, Paul Di'Enno finally got into the gear and more than once almost disrupted major performances. Therefore, his fate was a foregone conclusion - immediately after the end of the tour, he was fired. And a warm place behind the microphone was taken by perhaps the most famous and charismatic frontman in the entire history of NWOBHM, a man who could never boast of a great voice, but a man who always knew how to blow up with his crazy energy even the audience at a concert, even the listener of the record at home. It was, of course, Bruce Dickinson. And, perhaps, the main factor of the phenomenal success of "The Number Of The Beast" consisted, in fact, in eight new songs, which showed all the talent of not only Steve Harris, but also Bruce, and finally admitted to writing Adrian Smith. The recording was carried out in the same conditions as a year ago, so in terms of sound this disc turned out to be a complete double of "Killers". But in terms of content - it's just heaven and earth! Eight songs - of them three greatest hits of all time, three more man-made masterpieces, and a couple of insane action films for a snack. Let's start with them. The historical saga of the Vikings "Invaders" is a great start, the speed and power of the group is simply phenomenal. And the ominous theme of "Gangland" evokes a feeling of fear and amazes Bruce's vocal balancing act. The powerful and memorable for a lifetime "The Prisoner", the stunning epic "Children Of The Damned" in the atmosphere and the simply brilliant continuation of the story about Charlotte in the famous "22 Acacia Avenue" - all these are simply classics of the genre for all time. Well, three of the greatest hits, a kind of calling cards of the group since those times - a major action movie about Indians "Run To The Hills", on the contrary, an extremely sinister and pseudo-occult title track, and my favorite song in the entire history of recording is the GREAT final monster "Hallowed Be Thy Name". Since I have already summed up all the possible results at the beginning, I will just say that not to have this disc in my collection is simply a crime for any metalhead. Greatest work of my favorite band. Buy it or die trying!
