An excellent digipack edition of the album released in 1997 by American progressive power metal band. Well sounded and with nice booklet, at low price. The only minus is in the fact that their best albums were released in 80es.

Savatage reached their peak in the second half of the 80's and beggining of the 90's with Hall of the Mountain King, Gutter Ballet and Streets albums. For a good amount of time band coped with the untimely passing of Chris Oliva, but it seems they've found the formula on this particular album. Great proggy and theatrical feel is all over the place, with Zakk Stevens and Jon Oliva trading vocal duties. Recommended!

One of the most wonderful work of the group. The concept album is the story of a descendant of a famous navigator (unfortunately, I can’t say for sure, this is a real person or a fictional one), a story about his dreams, worries, thoughts about how his life would have been if he were a navigator. The music perfectly illustrates the narration throughout its length, with a slight but light shade of sadness, as is usually the case with Savatage. However, the melodies are self-sufficient and without texts - the instrumental "Storm", in my opinion, is generally one of the most illustrative compositions in metal - even if you don’t know its name, the picture with the raging sea will pop up in your mind. In some places, the general social theme ("Complaint in the system") skips. For a band with a 20-year-old past, the work is amazing - very few people manage to stay in self-plagiarism in such a time.
