Alexander S. - 04/Mar/2020 Yes, shortly after this release, the unfortunate Chris Oliva died in a ridiculous car accident ... R.I.P. :(
The album is very beautiful, reminded me a bit of Virgin Steele ... The best things I will call Degrees Of Sanity (a delicious gloomy text, and Zach sings it just incomparably convincingly) and Damien, whose lyrics, if I'm not mistaken, are connected with the famous trilogy "Omen" . Unusual "Scraggy's Tomb", especially its juicy beginning; good title thing. The cover of the disc is interesting, on which the ominous face of a demon is seen in a plexus of tree branches ... In general, a very worthy, strong, melodic heavy album, which I like much more than the next "Handful Of Rain".
| | Marc Jason G. - 08/Oct/2018 This album is excellent. Since the first track you can hear a perfect balance between delicate melodies and heavy distorted riffs: a good songwriting
| | JANET O'NEILL - 30/Mar/2012 The first time I heard Savatage was on a compilation album "Rock Thunder" and the track was "Gutter Ballet". I was impressed with their performance and the piano part on it. This cd is a reasonable collection of their quality, with a mixture of hard-rocking tracks and ballads.
