"Streets ?

The seventh studio Savatage is their most ambitious and "tricked" work, not without reason in the title there is a phrase Rock Opera. The group reached the limit of its creative development by this time, in some songs on Streets there is a full-fledged orchestra, and there are piano parts in almost all tracks of the album. All this is surprisingly organic, but heavy and fast compositions pleasantly diversify the musical palette. Streets is a completely conceptual disc, perhaps this is precisely its main attraction. The musicians came up with and told a very interesting and fascinating story about the rise and fall of a rock musician named D.T. Jesus, a story that happens in real life, is probably a couple of times every day. A hopeless future and playing on the sidewalks, world fame and the subsequent drinking and drugs, falling to the bottom and returning to the top, the death of a best friend and reasoning about religion - there is all this and much more. There is simply no weak composition here, each song is a small piece of the big picture, it’s worth removing at least one component and everything will be ruined. But there is a huge amount of great work, each of which stands out with something of its own. The title track evokes a storm of emotions, whipped up by the most beautiful orchestral parts and the eerie children's choir in the refrain. The most powerful concert hits of Jesus Saves and Ghost In The Ruins shock with their crazy energy and enthusiasm. The very sad and emotional Tonight He Grins Again is complemented by the excellent melodic action movie Strange Reality. Almost thrashy aggressiveness is characterized by high-speed tracks Sammy And Tex and Agony And Ecstasy. And finally, the singular numbers of John Oliva with the piano - A Little Too Far and St. Patrick About the breathtakingly beautiful ballads If I Go Away and, especially, Believe, I just can not say anything - no words. Although this definition is perfect for the entire drive. Objectively the most powerful and awesome Savatage performance. Not my favorite, but just not comparable to anything. Ideal concept album.

Classic classic classic. What can i write if in one album includes songs as if i go away, when the crows are gone, agony and ecstasy and ghost in the ruins. No comment

Great rock opera! Jon Oliva said that is the best they ever recorded.

Imperdible.
