Description:

Digitally remastered edition of this 1983 album from the British Post-Punk quartet. From a background working in left-wing English fringe theater groups, Punishment of Luxury were formed in December 1976 in the north-east of England. All of their releases, including those under the Punilux name, received critical acclaim and sold well. 13 tracks. Lemon. 2010.

Mixed at the Greenhouse A Luxury Production All Songs 'Luxury' for 'Punishment of Luxury' 2010 reissue of 1983 EP with one bonus track According to the Cherry Red Records website (of which Lemon Records is a sub-label), this release is alleged to have 8 extra tracks, when it features only 1 "Hold Me (Never Mould Me)". There is only the 1 extra track listed on the tray insert. I wrote to Lemon Records asking what the deal was but received no response. The bonus track is listed as being the last song on the CD but is indeed the first. I did receive a response from Cherry Red (Lemon Records parent company) and 7 of the extra tracks that were to be included on this release were pulled at the last moment due to licensing problems, so the Lemon Records product information will be corrected, the disc should only have 6 tracks.
