Description:	Zwei junge Frauen begegnen sich eines Morgens im Berliner Tiergarten. Nina, das Heimkind, scheu und trotzig in sich gekehrt; Toni, eine Diebin, die sich die Welt nimmt und keine Chance auslässt. Nina fühlt sich von Tonis impulsivem Wesen angezogen. Sie folgt ihr auf deren atemlosen Streifzügen durch die Stadt. Auch die elegante Françoise wandert durch Berlin. Sie gibt die Hoffnung nicht auf, ihre Tochter Marie wiederzufinden, die hier vor vielen Jahren entführt wurde. Ihr Mann Pierre versucht mit sanfter Geduld, sie zur Rückkehr nach Paris zu bewegen. Die Wege der drei Frauen kreuzen sich. Für einen kurzen, wirklichen Moment glaubt Françoise, in Nina ihre Tochter zu erkennen. Dann sind die Mädchen wieder im Großstadtgeschehen verschwunden. Doch Françoise und Nina werden sich noch einmal begegnen.
