| | Description: | Ever since they stormed DJ Mag's Top100 poll last year, brothers Pavel and Vitaly Khavleev a.k.a. Moonbeam can count themselves amongst the biggest music exponents of Russian dance music. The release of their reputation defining first album "Around the World" harvested the hit singles "Song for a Girl", "Breathless" and "Look Around". The two now continue to widen their sonic horizon for their debut mix compilation "Space Odyssey" on Black Hole Recordings with a fabric of different styles. Much like their productions over the past five years, Moonbeam's new mix presents a hard-hitting blend of big room techno, trance and progressive house. The pair keep things heavy and melodic throughout both discs, coursing through selections by Tiesto, the Crystal Method and Deadmau5 among others, and fitting in some of their own tracks and remixes along the way. The compilation also features a healthy dose of producers from the former USSR, including FreddySlav, Kochnev and young Ukrainian producer Tvardovsky. Space Odyssey will be Moonbeam's first proper mix CD, following 2008's the Remixes, a mixed compilation of the duo's reworks of other artists.
