Description:Reissued 1961 album by American jazz pianist Bill Evans with bassist Scott LaFaro, and drummer Paul Motian. Including â??My Romanceâ??, â??My foolish Heartâ??, â??Waltz For Debbyâ?? and five bonus tracks. In the summer of 1961 LaFaro would die in a car accident soon after, at the age of 25. Evans was so shocked by his bassistâ??s death that he waited a long time before forming a new trio. -
The legendary last recording of Evans' brilliant trio (with Paul Motian and Scott LaFaro, who died days after this was taped at the Village Vanguard). Invigorating freedom and deep emotion meet and cast a powerful spell; this reissue adds alternate takes of Waltz for Debby; Detour Ahead, and My Romance plus other bonus material!
Packaged in a standard jewel case with a clear tray. 10 panel fold-out booklet contains a tracklist, credits, an essay by the producer and a reproduction of the original liner notes. Recorded in performance at the Village Vanguard, New York City; June 25, 1961. ? &© 2010, Concord Music Group, Inc. Made in the EU.
