This version of Stomp Boogie -Box- comes as a 3xCD. - 70 TR. 3-CD BOX2009 three CD release from the Blues icon. Stomp Boogie combines 70 recordings from Hooker's early recording years cut locally in Detroit for a variety of labels including Sensation, King and Chess and also in Chicago for Vee-Jay. Both collectors and fans of the later albums will appreciate the opportunity to acquire this selection from his '40s and '50s classics. Hooker never significantly altered his style during his long career; these first recordings set the stage for all that came after, and he arguably never sounded fresher or better. Fantastic Voyage.Recordings spanning 1948 to 1958 on 3 CDs in a foldout digipack.
