THIS ALBUM has energy - I'm no snob - loud dumb music with hooks and clever/sleazy/dumb lyrics can work if done with enough get-up-n-go - and this album does have some nasty blues rock attitude and such but it's also too trebly, "wet sounding" and slick - an attempt to make a record that would sell to late 80s audiences.

English Alexander S. - 07/08/2019 5 sur 5 étoiles!
It was with this album that the real, worldwide fame of Aerosmith began. Solid hits, freaky drive and absolute dissimilarity to anyone else - these are the components of success. True, by the second half of the disk, the enthusiasm is somewhat lost. "My Girl" and "Don't Get Mad, Get Even" are still good, but they don’t look as strong as the previous material. And "Voodoo Medicine Man" is almost completely superfluous - it is more like the late work of the group and flies past ears ... However, in the general row these songs do not interfere. The first half of the album gives such a powerful start that even weak areas are heard almost in one breath, with enthusiasm and enthusiasm. Moreover, everything ends in the most gorgeous way: "What It Takes" - like a code, a curtain, grand-finale. The result is unconditionally the best album of the group and one of the best releases in glam hard rock in history. P.S. A great video was released at the same time as the disc, revealing the concept of the album, containing both the clips and the story of their creation and scenes from the working days of the group. This material cool complements the music and is recommended for viewing categorically.
