Despite a productive career, Deodato will always be best-known for a 1972 hit record, the catchy adaptation of Richard Strauss "Also Sprach Zarathurstra (Theme from 2001: A Space Odyssey)." Since then this Grammy-award winning musician and produced hundreds of albums from acts as diverse as Bjork and K.D. Lang to Kool And the Gang. This is the digitally re-mastered two-for-one CD containing a pair of albums from the acclaimed Brazilian musician: WHIRLWINDS (1974) and the live album ARTISTRY (1975). Both albums made the US Top 200 Albums chart.
