| | Description: | Digitally remastered and expanded two CD edition of the former Haircut 100 leader's 1983 solo debut album. In January 1983, he departed Haircut 100 and headed straight into the studio with Beatles engineer Geoff Emerick to produce a timeless classic pop album. It was highly acclaimed by both fans and critics upon it's original release and is still held in high esteem today, with Uncut magazine calling it an 'all time classic that fell off the radar'. The album features four hit singles, 'Whistle Down the Wind', 'Take That Situation', 'Blue Hat for a Blue Day' and 'On a Sunday'. This reissue has been personally overseen by Nick and expanded from it's original 10 track form to include an additional 22 rare and unreleased recordings. These consist of b-sides, alternate versions and remixes, with four tracks appearing on CD for the first time. This set also includes a previously unreleased concert recorded on the North of a Miracle tour at London's Dominion Theatre in November '83.Expanded Edition -- (A Geoff Emerick production of Nick Heyward's...): This Cherry Red reissue has been personally overseen by Nick and expanded from its original 10-track form to include a further 21 rare b-sides, remixes & unreleased tracks (some live).
It also features a newly created 16-page booklet with notes from Nick and rare previously unseen photos from Nick's archive.
'The Day It Rained Forever' recorded live at Abbey Road Studio 19 May 1983. 'Atlantic Monday' recorded lice at Air Studios 26 July 1983. 'Live At The Dominion' recorded at the Dominion Theatre, London 7th November 1983. Originally broadcast by Capital Radio's 'Live In London' show December '83.
2-1 to 2-9 are marked as "previously unreleased." Track duration not printed on release.
