XXV is a concept album by Pallas and follow up to their debut Sentinel (from 1984). Also, this is their first album featuring new vocalist Paul Mackie, replacing Alan Reed. Overall I did like this album although when listening I never had impression that I was listening to Pallas. Sound on this record is more oriented toward hard/heavy prog and even symphonic metal in some cases - so I can understand that some fans had problem with band moving from their unique sound. If you don't see that as a problem and you are open minded then you will find this as a very good modern prog release overall. This record comes in jewel case with very rich booklet and great artwork inside.
