Description:	In der 30er Jahren, zur Zeit der Geldsperre: Wer aus Deutschland nach Österreich einreisen will, darf kein Geld mit sich führen. So auch der wohlhabende Georg, der anläßlich der Salzburger Festspiele täglich die Grenze passiert. Als er in einem Cafe seine Rechnung nicht begleichen kann, hilft ihm das junge Stubenmädchen Konstanze aus. Er verliebt sich in sie, muß aber einige Tage später erfahren, daß sie sich wie auch der Rest ihrer Familie nur als Dienstpersonal, auf dem väterlichen Schloß ausgibt, um dem Vater, einem Lustspielautor, bei Situationsstudien zu helfen. Um in Konstanzes Nähe bleiben zu können, quartiert sich Georg im Schloß ein und spielt das eigenartige Spiel mit.
